The Department of Physical Education is established in the year 1954. The institution has good infrastructure for encouraging and promoting sports and games. The institution has playground comprising an area about 20,000 square yards and a separate Games Department functioning under a full-fledged Physical Directress. There is a Tennicoit court and a Volleyball court. Facilities for indoor games like Chess, Carroms, and Table Tennis are also available. Professional coaches for various games are appointed every year to train and improve the performance of students participating in tournaments. Incentives are given in the form of cash awards, tracksuits, shoes and shields to outstanding students.

We have introduced NCC unit in the college with 60 students with Mrs Sunitha as fulfledged NCC officer. We have an NSS unit of 100 students under the supervision of NSS programmer Smt.M.Usha Devi.
Every year 10 days special camps are conducted in the near by adopted slum ie Baghlingmapally and awareness was created about cleanliness, family planning literacy, aids etc. Medical checkup was also arranged to the basti people. Competition like running, hopping were also conducted to basti children. Volunteers were selected to take part in district state level youth festivals. One volunteer took part in Republic Day Parade at Delhi in the year 2002.
Essay writing, elocution, and quiz competitions were held in connection with the AIDS awareness programme.
