U.G.C. Sponsored Certificate Course : with one year duration in Foreign Exchange Trade organised by the Department of Economics.
The Department has the distinction of introducing M.A.Economics as first Women's College in Telangana Area, which was conducted from 1983 to 2002.
The Department also handled B.Com I,II,IIIyr in both media from 1971 to 1984.

Activities of the Department

  • The Department has the distinction of inviting distinguished speakers like
    1. Dr.Raja Chelliah, Eminent Economist.
    2. Dr.P.R.Brahmanandam, Eminent Economist.
    3. Dr.Hamumantha Rao,Former member, Planning Commission.
    4. Dr.Y.Venugopal Reddy(present Governor of R.B.I. and he was also one of the members of Board of studies of the Department in the year 1990).

  • The Department organised Exhibition on Indian Economy.
  • The Department organised two Workshops on Qusetion Bank for B.A. Course. Extension Lectures organised in the last two years. Popular Lecture on Impact of Globalisation by P.V.Rao : Director Indian Ocean Studies during 2003-2004.
  • Organised a Panel Discussion on "Is India Shining?" during 2004-2005, Panelist- Prof.Waquif-CESS,Prof.Kishan Rao-O.U., Prof.P.v.Rao-Director,I.I.O.C.
  • Organised a two day Exhibition on 28th and 29th of December 2004 in connection with the Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
  • Mrs.Y.Sarojini is selected for pursuing Ph.D. under Faculty improvement programme
  • Mrs.K.Uma is selected for pursuing Ph.D. under Faculty improvement programme.
