Profile
Commerce subject was first introduced in 1969 at the Intermediate level when the AP Government started the +2 for the first time with Commerce, Economics, Civics & Maths, Economics, Commerce combinations. Subsequently B.Com was introduced in 1971 to accommodate the first batch of Intermediate students. The course started with one fulltime member and has now 13 full time members with 2 Ph.D and 2 M.Phils and two more members are pursuing Ph.D and one member is pursuing MBA in Distance Education mode and one member has secured I division in B.Ed.
Courses Offered at the U.G. Level:
- B.Com (regular) EM & TM
- B.Com (Computers) EM Only (Includes seminar presentation by individual student).
- B.Com (E-Commerce) EM only with project work.
To keep pace with the changing needs of the society and requirements of the students needs, the course structure and syllabi, have been upgraded suitably.

The following 2 members have registered for Ph.D through Distance Education of Dravidian University.
- Mrs. S. Anitha –Recruitment and Training in power sector with special study to APTransco/APGENCO.
- Mrs. S. Salomi- Human Resources Management in Development Bank-A case study of APSFC.
- Mrs. Rama Desai is pursuing MBA through Distance Education, OU.
- Kusuma kumari has obtained First division in B.Ed.
