Department of Business Administration

RBVRR Women’s college has the distinction of being the first women’s college in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to have started the Business Management Programme, which is affiliated to both AICTE and Osmania University. Since its inception in 1991, the programme has successfully completed two decades. The core objective of the programme is to train young students to acquire right attitude and right professional skills, in order to enable them to take on challenging assignments in various management professions. The Department started with a modest intake of 30 and gradually progressed to the present strength of 120. The MBA Department has been granted autonomous status by the Osmania University from the academic year 2011 -2012.

A message from the Director, MBA Programme

I congratulate and welcome the students for taking interest in joining the family of the Department of Business Management,    R.B.V.R.R. Women’s College.

I realize that you had many options to choose from and finally deciding on pursuing an MBA Programme could have been a tough and an overwhelming experience. My brief message here hopefully will give you some direction in shaping up your career dreams and also help you in fulfilling them during the course of the programme.

The current times demand a life-long knowledge acquiring approach to adapt and respond to the fast changing global work     environment. This continuous learning process requires time and commitment. In particular the MBA Programme that is offered as a two-year programme, needs a lot of dedication in attaining the required knowledge and sustaining it in the long run.

The Faculty of the Department of Business Management is committed in helping students, given the limited time, in acquiring not only the knowledge related to their respective disciplines but also in preparing them to face life-challenges in the outside world. The faculty of the Department help students in attaining a holistic development by playing various roles, including that of a teacher, a guide and a mentor. This inculcates within the student a sense of being a responsible citizen of the country and also helps in having a positive attitude towards all endeavors of their life.

The Department has designed a unique MBA Programme which exposes the students not only to the Management Curriculum but also will help augment and enhance their innate Managerial abilities in shaping themselves to become a successful future Manager thereby contributing not only to the workforce but also to the society at large.
